DLR Parks are planting a small community woodland in the Fernhill Park on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th, and have extended a special invitation to Naomh Ólaf members, players, families and friends to help in this great initiative.

Planting will start from 10am until 3pm and volunteers can come for as long or as short as they like and do what they can within their own ability. No experience necessary. They hope to plant 1ha / 4500 trees in total.

Volunteers should bring water and a snack or some lunch, and good footwear.

There are a limited supply of work gloves so if any volunteers have their own do bring them along.

There will be other groups from businesses, schools and the community coming along during the day.

There will be signs to guide where planting is taking from the carpark (The carpark has limited numbers so please carshare, cycle, or walk if possible).
